WOW, we are now at the end of our second week back in school after the Christmas holidays! The children have all settled back in well and are working hard. We are enjoying our topic so far and the children are keen to learn more about our world. Keep it up Year 4!

Later today we have our Year 4 celebration assembly, starting at 3:00pm. On Tuesday the 10th of December, in the morning, Year 4 will be taking part in a drumming performance. This is a great chance fo us to show the things that we have been learning this term!
Your homeowrk this week is to collect as many homophones as you can. I have attached the presentation used in school at the bottom of the page in case you need a few hints!!! I can't wait to see the interesting homophones you discover.

We have been researching all about the Romans and this week we will be sharing our group presentations with the rest of the class. Just a reminder that if you need to bring anything in for your presentation it should be in school by Tuesday. I look forward to finding out all the information you have discovered!
Today Year 4 had their first drumming session of the year! We had great fun meeting Miss Ball who will be running our sessions each week. This term we are learning the Samba. We will have a performance for parents soon and I will let you know the date of this when confirmed.

On Tuesday Year 4 visited Roman Chester and the Grosvenor Museum. We had a great day learning all about the Romans through work shops, a Roman Soldier tour and artefacts. The children were very well behaved and all worked well as a team. Thank you to my parent helpers who came along! Keep up the hard work Year 4!!!!!
