Week 2 - igh  oa  we  me  you
Week 3 - oo  ar  be  are  her  was
Week 4 - ear  oi  all  my

We have been working hard learning the different sounds. We are now learning our alphabet and how to form the uppercase letters.

Games we have been playing in class to help us with our reading and writing.

Reading
Every Monday, children will come home with a word tin. Once children can read each word they then need to work on being able to write them.
Reading books will be changed every Friday.
Guided reading happens every Thursday and Friday.

Supporting Your Child with their Maths

We are now moving beyond 10 and learning our numbers 11-20. Once your child can say the numbers in order, can they find the value of each number? For example, can they count out 13 lego bricks for you?It is still great to go back and revise the numbers 1- 10. The number block videos online are one great way to do this.

Number recognition and formation is really important and a nice quick activity to work on a little at a time at home.
