Here is a link to a video clip of the 'pure sounds' that we are learning in our 'Read Write Inc' sessions- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCBzNnSSxds .  Please help the children to recognise them at speed.  I've also attached the 'Read Write Inc'  alphabet to help with this and the parent presentation for your information.

What a lovely afternoon we had sharing our 'rock pet' adventures!  Well done to all of the children who have shared their half term activities so far and a big thank you to parents for your support - especially those who managed to undertake an 'around the world trip' in just one week!  The class were very impressed!

Bags

We seem to have a lot of large bags coming in each day, which some children are struggling to carry out at the end of the day. It is recommended that children have a book bag, this should have their diary, money and small snacks in, and a P.E bag.

Learning Book

Dear parents,

It has been great to see that some of you have uploaded your own observations onto learning book. This really does help us to create a whole picture of your child’s learning. It would be great over the holidays if you could add some observations of them using technology at home such a an electric whisk, a phone or even a remote control (this is part of their Early Learning Goal to understand that technology can be used in different ways at home and school) or photos/ videos of them reading or learning about their environment (such as what plants are in their garden or about animals they take care of at home). If you do not have internet access you can always add a note in their communication diary about what they have been up to. Many thanks Mrs Rogers.
