We seem to have a lot of large bags coming in each day, which some children are struggling to carry out at the end of the day. It is recommended that children have a book bag, this should have their diary, money and small snacks in, and a P.E bag.

It was lovely welcoming the children to the class this week. They have settled in well and all seemed to enjoy their first few days.

Learning Book

Dear parents,

It has been great to see that some of you have uploaded your own observations onto learning book. This really does help us to create a whole picture of your child’s learning. It would be great over the holidays if you could add some observations of them using technology at home such a an electric whisk, a phone or even a remote control (this is part of their Early Learning Goal to understand that technology can be used in different ways at home and school) or photos/ videos of them reading or learning about their environment (such as what plants are in their garden or about animals they take care of at home). If you do not have internet access you can always add a note in their communication diary about what they have been up to. Many thanks Mrs Rogers.

To celebrate all of the children's hard work this half term, we will be holding a 'Superhero Day' on Tuesday 12th February.  The children are going to be transformed into superheroes for the day as they will be designing and making their own superhero capes and vehicles.  Parents/ carers and family members are welcome to join us for the morning!

Science Competition - Astronomy

posted 30 Nov 2018, 11:09 by Hayley Rogers

An exciting science competition was launched today in school all about astronomy! Tonight is a great night to spot the constellation known as 'The Pan' or 'The Big Dipper' or 'The Plough'. Full details of the competition can be found on the school website under the science curriculum page. The children's booklets can also been downloaded from their class pages or they can get one from their teacher. There will be prizes for each Key Stage and an overall prize for the best entry across the academy. Enjoy stargazing over the winter period.
